The Patient Visitor Parking Manager is responsible for all parking operations at designated patient and visitor parking areas. Responsibilities include management of parking access and control systems, cash collections, handling, and reconciliation, staffing and scheduling, parking area cleanliness, parking arrangements for guests and special events, and shuttle services for patients and visitors of patients arriving for clinic appointments. The Manager collaborates with Security and VCU Police to ensure and enforce that only VCU Health patients and visitors park in designated patient and visitor parking areas.Essential Job StatementsMaintain patient parking facilities to include cleanliness of facility, functionality of equipment, and routine status checksCoordinate activity regarding on demand/routine shuttle services for staff, patients, and visitorsProvides supervision for the guest services validator, deck cashiers and maintenance staffEnsures financial control management for valet parking & visitor parking services by keeping a complete accurate and systematic set of records and activitySecure parking for guests attending various meetings and events sponsored by the Health SystemWork with various vendors to complete projects associated with the repair and maintenance of patient parking areasProvide management support for valet parking services as needed.Patient PopulationNot applicable to this position. Employment Qualifications Required Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or closely-related field Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or closely-related field Licensure/Certification Required: N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred: N/A Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the field of parking management, with a minimum of (2) years in a supervisory/management position.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Thorough knowledge of parking operation and maintenance with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Must have strong communication skills, with proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc., with strong keying skills. Cultural Responsiveness:Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Working ConditionsPeriods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. General office environment. May be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions; cold, hot, dust, wind, etc. May have periods of constant interruptions.
