The Electrical Engineering position is in the Trail, BC office. It is

not

a remote position and requires the right candidate to be able to be in the Trail, BC office a minimum of two days per week to satisfy our hybrid work model.

Your future role on the team
Contribute to the various stages ofproject execution, mainly in the utility sector, including proposals, analysisstudies for industrial power systems, detailed engineering, equipmentspecifications, site surveys, site monitoring and commissioning of electricalequipment
Be responsible for technicalcoordination and supporting project management tasks
Leading juniorengineers in training.

Establish client needs, prepare or review reports, estimates, specifications, quotations and proposals;

Prepare and review design deliverables;

Perform calculations and studies;

Work with designers and drafters in the preparation of drawings to BBA and client standards;

Perform site inspections;

Perform testing and commissioning at client sites, locally and abroad;

Create project scope of services, budgets and schedules,

Plan and monitor work assignments and costs;
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Overview ofcertifications and job requirements
Electrical Engineering Degree, or similar;

5 to12 years of relevant experience;

Eligible to register with EGBC as a P.Eng.;

A valid class 5 BC drivers licence;

Utility engineering experience, specifically generation engineering;
Experience preparing and reviewing technical documents such as reports, specifications, studies, plans, calculation notes and instructions;

Experience with design deliverables such as single line diagrams, layouts, elevations, material lists, cable and termination schedules, etc;

Experience preparing and reviewing project estimates;

Familiarity with IEEE Color Books, CEC and NEC;
Knowledge of electrical equipment specifications, testing and commissioning;
Ability to travel on short notice to customer sites and other BBA offices;
Very good knowledge of MS Office and other database applications.
An overview of BBAs total reward
Annual base salary, based on 37.5 hours weekly, between $124 000 to $170 000
