Electrical Design Engineer (Sensors)

to join our In Service Electrical Department at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. The In-Service Electrical Department supports the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK. You will be involved in delivering sensor design, modification work and providing in service support. You will be working closely with the supply chain, assessing component changes and design definition updates. Electro-Mechanical Design Engineers from a broad range of equipment support backgrounds would be considered and specific product-based training will be provided. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you will be doing: You will be p

roducing technical reports/operating manuals etc. supporting the delivered equipment. Delivering work packages to agreed time and costs. Responding to and rectifying in-service sensors equipment defects/requests for technical information involving some occasional on site work Evaluating the safety and integrity of the sensors products Produce safety case design documentation to support the safe operation of the plant.
