Overview:

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for ensuring high quality and high touch service is delivered to team members at their first point of contact. This individual would be highly motivated in delivering an experience that models the Tickled, Delighted, and Happy service culture of Lennar.

This role will lead a team of HR Operations Specialists responsible for HR processes in the full employee life cycle. The incumbent will closely collaborate with HR business partners and other functions such as Legal, Compliance, and Payroll to ensure HR policies are developed, continuously improved, and successfully deployed throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead an engaged, positive, high performing HR Operations Services team.
  • Leads and models service delivery that fosters a Tickled, Delighted, and Happy (TDH) experience outcome.
  • Leads ongoing continuous improvement activities for the team to enhance current processes and service offerings.
  • Reviews, ensures compliance, and ensures high-quality execution for HR-related federal and state laws and company policies.
  • Collaborates with field and corporate HR teams to align human resources programs and initiatives with strategic objectives and operating plans to drive positive, business-impacting change.
  • Manages unresolved inquires by partnering with COEs to find solutions, responses, and apply to further improve existing processes and practice.
  • Acts as the point of contact for escalated inquiries requiring an expert level of knowledge of HR processes and applicable laws to ensure compliance and alignment to company policies and procedures.
  • Coaches and mentors peers. Shares knowledge and experience to develop self-service.
  • Collaborates with other HR colleagues on sharing best practices and increasing the development and use of HR standard work (effective change management).
  • Serves as a strong Associate advocate for our managers and team members.
  • Partners with Payroll; the Talent, Associate Experience, and Total Rewards COEs; HRIS; and the technology teams to successfully implement new or improved processes and policies.
  • May develop queries; generate and distribute reporting of performance metrics.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information and adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing practical solutions.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in HR or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of HR or Hospitality experience, preferably leading a customer service team experience highly preferred. Experience should include recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset plus Problem Solving, Standard Work, etc.
  • HR Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in building talent and engaging teams for improved performance and sustainability.
  • Implementing solutions to track metrics and KPIs for operations specialist team.
  • Experience developing performance plan for customer service based team.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating an environment of trust and integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with HR COEs (i.e. Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition) and Payroll.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with all Associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Experience with WorkDay and Service Now a plus.
