Description:
TEKsystems is looking to add a Sr Financial Analyst to support Abbott's Global IT division. This role will provide FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) support to the global IT teams and finance organization. This person will work to reconcile forecasted spend with actuals, closely reviewing data and creating reports using Excel that show trends to ensure budgets are being appropriately managed. This role will also act as the liaison & business partner for between the Corporate IT teams and finance to review, address and correct discrepancies between forecasted and actuals. This will include conducting regular reviews with cost center owners to gauge and communicate financial performance and provide insight/process improvement to ensure budgets are being properly met and maintained. Strong communication skills is needed to work with manager and director budget owners effectively. Additionally, prior Abbott experience and ability to work in a self-directed capacity is necessary Role Description Serves as a business partner for the Business Solutions and Services (BSS) and Product Security business units within the Corporate BTS organization. Leveraging Abbott Shared Services organization, oversees monthly close activities, provides clear and meaningful financial reporting and commentary. Ensures compliance and champions internal controls and procedures. Develops forecasts and prepares supporting analytics. Manages risks and opportunities through the use of external and internal signals and data. Develops contingency plans. Partners with the business to define, review and analyze the projects. Assists with preparation and review of Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCEs). Provides analytical support for contracts' negotiations. Assists with ad-hoc analysis and preparation of review materials for presentation to Divisional Vice Presidents (DVPs) and CIO. Drives continuous improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes. Works both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical and critical thinking skills. Education and Experience require Degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. 4 years minimum experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting. Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, Hyperion Essbase and SAP. Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication skills; ability to synthesize complex, technical issues and summarize with clarity. Ability to manage many competing priorities and execute in a pressurized environment.
