This is a key role for a long standing, leading non-profit in our Northern Kentucky community. This Direct Hire position reports to the lead executive for all Residential Treament & Operations and will have oversight of the 24x7 team of 25+ individuals serving these residents.This position is responsible for providing direction, coordination, leadership and overall management of the Adolescent Treatment Workers (ATWs) and cottage milieu. The Director is responsible for ensuring all regulations and contract requirements are always satisfied. The Director is responsible to ensure the supervision of ATWs, either directly or through Cottage Supervisors, scheduling staff and overseeing the daily routine within the cottage setting. The Director oversees the direct care for residents, may perform all duties expected of adolescent treatment workers and provide substitute coverage for ATWs if necessary, to maintain ratios and safety. The Director works with the Cottage Supervisors to recruit, hire, and evaluate ATWs as well as oversee training of new staff and ensure ongoing staff development. The Director serves as the lead staff for employee relations and communications for the division and is responsible for ensuring communication across the campus. It is the expectation that the Director will work closely with the Director of Treatment to ensure that all Clinical recommendations are implemented and collaborate on any strategies to increase client care. This responsibility includes ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local government regulations related to the department's functions.The Ideal Candidate will have the following background:Experience: Must have acute care experience in a Children's Residential environment.Education: Bachelors degree in human service field preferred. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience working with youth in a high acuity setting for Bachelors and Associates degree. Supervisory experience is preferred.Skills : Good leadership, management and organizational skills. Understanding, influencing and serving others are important attributes in this position. Must display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective. Must excel in personal interactions with the ATW staff and employees at all levels of the program.Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise the Cottage Supervisors and. Will also directly supervisor ATWs when needed. Ability to manage, coach, hold accountable and build an ever improving team is key to success in this role.Essential Job Functions:Ensure a safe, therapeutic milieu by maintaining an active presence, providing support, role modeling, coaching, supervision and guidance, through behaviors, regular supervision, coaching and corrective action, and completing reviews for all assigned staff. Ensure trauma informed care is consistently practiced in the cottage milieu through training, coaching, guidance, and the implementation of trauma informed policies and practices.Responsible for ensuring all aspects of a youths treatment plan met when assigned, including but not limited to Individual Service Plans, Safety Plans, Risk Management Plans, Positive Reinforcement PlansCollaborate effectively with other agency Directors and ManagersFoster team development by overseeing and maintaining staff cohesiveness and functioning through appropriate implementation of ATW orientation and continued team development.Complete weekly staff supervisions for direct reports and at least monthly team meetings.Ensure that adequate staff ratios are maintained to meet the needs of all clients by appropriately scheduling and filling in for shift(s) if needed.Supervise activity programming for residents ensuring residents have consistent scheduled activities that promote growth and recovery.Manage and maintain receipts for activities.Participate with Human Resources, Cottage Supervisors and Staff Development Specialist in the process of recruiting, hiring, training and supervising ATW staff to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner.Provide orientation of cottage routines, procedures and treatment for new staff.Delegate responsibility to appropriate staff members to ensure that day-to-day cottage routine functions are carried out.Provide direct supervision of Cottage Supervisors, and ATWs, when needed, and maintain supervisory personnel records.Work with Staff Development Specialist to ensure that ATW staff receives all training hours as required.Provide guidance to ATWs in resolving conflicts in the workplace.Implement systems of support for staff emotional well-being and continuously review these systems for improvement.Ensure that staff maintains a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the milieu.Oversee and ensure proper communication between shifts on clinical, programmatic, and milieu issues.Ensure maintenance of all necessary cottage records.Ensure all documentation including, but not limited to, Progress notes, Medication logs and Incident Reports are completed correctly and within required timeframes.Ensure licensing standards are maintained within the cottage.Maintain familiarity with emergency and crisis intervention procedures and implements them in a calm and expedient manner.Keep information about child and his/her family confidential; shares information only with others who are involved with the child and family on a professional basis, in a professional manner, and only when it serves the best interest of the child.Assist in establishing policies and procedures for residential treatment program, implementing and providing on-going feedback to Chief Innovation OfficerAssume a leadership role both on campus and in the community to assure that each childs treatment, care and safety needs are being met. Provide direction, support and mentoring to Adolescent Treatment Workers, volunteer and other staff in all decision that affect the childs treatment.Responsible for assessing, developing, and evaluating program goals and objectives.Attend and participate in agency meetings, leadership meeting, incident review (Risk Management meetings) staff meetings, and supervision as scheduled.Participate in training and professional development in order to enhance skills and knowledge base and comply with training regulations. To ensure all Work and Development Plans are created, monitored, and reviewed annually.Respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, classes, race, ethnic backgrounds, and religions in a manner that recognizes, affirms, and values the worth of individuals, families, and communities and protects and preserves the dignity of each.Adhere to ethical standards of professionalism including maintaining confidentiality of each child and their family in compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.Participate in Performance Quality Improvement activities as assigned.Seek to fulfill the mission by providing quality services to children served.Perform other related duties as assigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
