CMC Project Manager

The CMC Project Manager is a hybrid role combining PM and Finance responsibilities reporting both to line management and to Finance. The CMC Project Manager is responsible for supporting CMC functional roles in the areas of strategic and operational project and resource management for cross-functional project planning and tracking, including project assumptions, timelines, status and deliverables. Must be able to develop, design and maintain project reporting standards. Must be able to use effective tools to assemble, track and communicate key status and information with all stakeholders. Responsible for supporting CMC functional roles (and Finance roles) in their responsibilities related to the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Primary contacts are project managers, department managers, finance, senior management team and external resources/vendors.Coordinate with matrix-oriented teams including external resources/vendors to plan, implement and track project(s). Support the project team.
* From given inputs, implement project plans including tasks, timelines and resources required while monitoring resource schedules/outputs to successfully complete the project on time and on budget.
* Provide support to project team as needed.
* Monitor project progress as well as budget.
* Attend project meetings, collaborate, and generate meeting minutes, track Action Items generated.
* Maintain and monitor project tracking and deliverables via appropriate tracking tools.
* MS Gantt skills and proficiency working with project management tools and software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams as well as Adobe Sign.
* Collaborate in the preparation of summary reports through gathering, analyzing and summarizing data and information.
* Communicate with management, executive leadership, project and functional managers and work with operational management to define resolutions to identified constraints.
* Responsible for initial data gathering efforts for related departments' and/or projects' forecasts/budgets. Organizes regular meetings across departments to track/review year to date budget activities vs approved budgets.
* Liaise with Finance and other resources across departments/projects to ensure proper compliance with processes such as PO/SOW generation, RFP generation and become the primary resource as a department/project owner for areas deemed reasonably appropriate.
* On an ad-hoc basis, manage discreet other separate projects within the company as assigned.
* Perform other duties as appropriate or assigned.
Position Qualifications (Education, experience, knowledge, physical requirements)
* Bachelor's degree in a related technical/scientific field of study.
* Some business background helpful.
* 5-8 years' experience in a related scientific field.
* 2-3 years' experience in a project management related role.
* Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills to the executive level.
* Strong familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices
* Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
* Excellent interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
* Can develop productive working relationships while maintain LFB values.
* Able to build consensus using collaborative approaches in a team environment to achieve successful organizational outcomes.
* Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
