Kennedys, a growing global law firm, is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant in our Basking Ridge , New Jersey office . The analyst will work alongside the Senior Financial Analyst to prepar e monthly report s , track the performance, budget for matter file and other ad-hoc analysis. The ideal candidate will be a goal-orientated, self-motivated multitasker with a f lexible attitude towards working practices and the ability to adapt style as required .

Key responsibilities

  • Provide financial analysis, planning and forecasting which may include consolidation of financial data from various sources, analyzing current and past financial & revenue cycle data & performance
  • Assist with financial data reporting, budget preparation and financial planning processes, and budget review for compliance and opportunities
  • Utilize excel on daily basis to manipulate large data sets and create various reports
  • Conduct data analysis on existing engagements to help drive understanding of matter/client realization
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made
  • Ensure the accuracy of information and ensure it is published in a timely manner
  • Assist with projects that arise within the department and the wider firm
Required experience
  • 2 years of financial analysis experience preferred*
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency creating and utilizing Pivot Tables
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys and firm professional staff of all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Elite 3E preferred
