Job Responsibilities: Define the design deliverables necessary for successful project execution with a team of engineers of varied disciplines. Perform architectural design and requirement specifications for robotic systems. Work with engineers and project profressionals of varied disciplines to define system interfaces. Understand and mitigate technical risks to ensure project success. Maintain state of art systems in place for production use. Continuous improvement of systems to sustain safety and operational compliance. Involved in all aspects of robotic system execution, including hardware design, system design, network design, software development, and system commissioning. Managing projects for the procurement of robotic or automated systems. Works varied engineering end users to maintain robotic systems. Creates, updates, and maintains robotic application programs using OEM robotic and/or generalized computer languages. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of industrial controls both physical hardware and logic (relay logic, relay hardware, plc logic, plc hardware, digital I/O, HMI). Aids in adjusting and modifying part programs used on shop floor and maintaining documentation for hardware and software. Aids in developing end effector and tooling concepts. Assists cross functional disciplines with proper use of automated equipment for areas of diagnostics, repair, upgrades, installment, operational compliance, and end user training. Contributing member of maintaining safety requirements and aids in performing safety risk assessments. Project Management experience. Ability to manage a project from start to finish, manage a team and budget, and facilitate contractors. Qualifications/Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g. Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, etc.) is required. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and define complex systems-of-systems is required. Must have a demonstrated ability to translate customer/client expectations into clear, concise, verifiable requirements. Must have detailed understanding of Systems Requirements, Architecture, Interface Definition, and Design. Demonstrable ability to collaborate on the creation, development, and presentation of technical briefings is required. Must be able to recognize and solve technical problems. Must be a self-starter, capable of effectively working both as part of a team and independently. Familiarity with standard MS Office applications is required. Familiarity with standard MS Visual Studio application is required. Must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred Qualifications/Requirements: Experience or knowledge of programming language C++, Java. Experience or knowledge in AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other modeling software. Experience or knowledge in electrical, electronics, C#, and PLC programming. Experience in Siemens Controls is preferred. Sinutrain, TIA Portal, Operate, and communication protocols profibus, profinet, and modbus. Experience or knowledge of SAP systems Experience of knowledge of Fanuc, Kuka, Motoman, and/or Reis robotic system platforms. Over-time and/or weekends may be required to support production needs. Occasional out of town travel required.
