Idaho Housing and Finance Association is seeking a Customer Service Representative I in our Insurance Processing . The successful candidate will respond to customer inquiries related to their mortgage payments, taxes, and/or insurance and be familiar with mortgage terminology.
The CSR I will take phone calls and emails to process customer requests regarding their Insurance needs. The CSR I will maintain friendly and helpful interaction with IHFA's borrowers. The CSR I will be able to answer questions regarding Insurance policy requirements, update escrowed insurance details and work with the Servicing Vendor for borrower insurance needs. The CSR I will back up Customer Service calls.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Responds to customer insurance and basic insurance claims inquiries, providing insurance requirements and insurance claim packets.
- Works to meet customer needs and maintain good customer relations.
- Backs up Customer Service phone calls.
- Answers escrow inquiry questions.
- Processes borrower insurance needs through a variety of tasks. Sets up manual payments when needed, responds to borrower, agent and servicing vendor correspondence, works various reports to maintain borrowers active insurance.
- Works with the insurance servicing vendor to update borrower insurance information.
- Follow Agency guidelines for insurance processing.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Maintains good attendance and punctuality. Is responsible for adhering to work schedules and ensuring that supervisor is apprised of any schedule changes due to unforeseen appointments or schedule conflicts.
- Participates in training and other educational classes that will benefit the Association, and the individual as it relates to the job. Is a team player and works toward Association goals.
Requirements
Position qualifications required are the following:
- 1-2 years of experience in residential real estate lending, residential loan processing, loan closing, and/or loan servicing preferred.
- Prior experience working customer service in a call center environment preferred. Able to work within Excel spreadsheets preferred.
- Ability to work independently, organize, prioritize and perform job responsibilities. Demonstrates good problem solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible, engaged, reliable and respectful to maintain excellent team and customer relations.
- Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.
- Call Center experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in residential real estate lending, residential loan processing, loan closing, and/or loan servicing preferred.
