Communications and Marketing Manager

MISSION:
The mission of ReBUILD Metro is to strengthen neighborhoods by rebuilding homes, restoring whole blocks, and fostering enduring community relationships. We work to ensure that everyone in the communities we serve has a decent and affordable home in a stable and safe environment.
SUMMARY:
The Communications and Marketing Manager will oversee ReBUILD’s efforts to share the importance and impacts of ReBUILD’s work with a wide variety of funders, donors, partners, supporters, clients, and stakeholders. The Communications and Marketing Manager will serve as ReBUILD Metro’s primary storyteller and will be responsible for broadening awareness of ReBUILD’s work in Baltimore and beyond. The Communications and Marketing Manager will also be responsible for developing strategies for promoting ReBUILD’s for-sale and rental homes to prospective homebuyers and tenants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop written and visual content conveying ReBUILD’s impact on families and communities.
Conduct interviews with ReBUILD beneficiaries to create sharable success stories.
Take photographs and videos of ReBUILD properties and people.
Compose brochures and collateral that convey ReBUILD’s mission, programs, projects, and impacts.
Support composition and delivery of annual reports and other materials to funders and stakeholders.
Compose stakeholder newsletters and other email marketing content.
Develop regular photo, video, and written content for ReBUILD’s social media accounts.
Make regular updates to ReBUILD’s website, including listings of for-sale and rental properties, news and media items, success stories, impact information, program and project updates, staffing updates, and updates to careers and partnerships.
Coordinate with ReBUILD’s Real Estate Development and Property Management teams to maintain awareness of pipeline of available and soon-to-be-available for-sale and rental properties.
Create signage, flyers, and other materials promoting ReBUILD’s for-sale and rental properties.
Create and support digital marketing strategies for ReBUILD’s for-sale and rental properties.
Develop flyers and other visual documents to promote ReBUILD events and activities.
Support planning of donor meetings, tours, and other donor recruitment activities.
Manage composition of thank you letters and other correspondence to prospective and current donors.
Assist in managing donor profiles and moves management plans to support individual donor relations.
Support planning and execution of stakeholder and public-facing events and gatherings, including development of materials, invitations, logistics, and other tasks as needed.
Conduct media outreach and develop media advisories and press releases.
Identify new strategies for sharing ReBUILD’s stories with a broader audience.
Assist with other fundraising and communications projects as requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university
Master’s Degree and/or at least two years of experience in relevant field
Strong skills in program branding, content marketing, and nonprofit communications
Strong written communication skills: ability to write and edit clear, structured, and persuasive materials
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to collaborate across multiple departments to collect information and meet deadlines
Demonstrated flexibility in managing time-sensitive tasks and projects
Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite
Computer skills preferred: Adobe Illustrator and InDesign; MailChimp; WordPress
Experience with photography and videography
Experience and proficiency in social media content (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculator, telephones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets
