THIS IS A W2 ROLE AND NEED AZ LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Client: State of AZ - AZDOHS Position: Project Manager - Req # 1454 Contract: Until 06/30/2025 Location: 1700 W. Washington Suite 210, Phoenix, AZ, 85007 Tentative Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (40 Hours/Week). Closing: 8/12/2024 Position Description: This position is responsible for assisting Cyber Command with the implementation of projects and strategies that promote and support the statewide cybersecurity program. The position assists the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office (SISPO) with attaining the statewide information security goals and objectives set by the State CISO. This position coordinates the daily operational activities of various projects that support the long term cybersecurity goals of the Department. Skills Required: KNOWLEDGE Theoretical and practical aspects of project management. Organization's methodologies and tools. Organization's policies and procedures. Interrelationships among various internal & external organizational functions. SKILL Strong customer service. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication. ABILITY Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks. Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations. Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly. Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization. Develop and write technical documentation. Leading team(s) to design solutions for clients. Skills Preferred: Advanced project management. Learn and apply LEAN concepts, principles and tools used to create and deliver perspectives with fewest resources with continuous problem solving. Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Work Experience Required: Manages multiple medium and large-sized projects, including some complex projects, in support of the Statewide Security Program. Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements. Leads planning and implementation of projects. Develops methods to monitor project progress and takes corrective action. Manages projects based on repeatable standards and practices where possible, but also may require defining new approaches. Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas. Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes to resolve issues. Proactively and routinely identifies, mitigates and reports project risks. Manages and coordinates project budget and resource allocation. Work Experience Preferred: 3 OR MORE years of experience in project coordination and management (or equivalent experience). Education/Training Required: Bachelor's degree. Education/Training Preferred: Arizona State Project Management Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
