The Associate Patient Care Coordinator functions as an integral member of the team to deliver exceptional customer service to our patients. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator works alongside the clinical staff to ensure efficient patient service within the department. Location: Role will primarily be remote in Everett, WA. Will be required to work onsite 1-2 days per month at 1301 Pacific Ave. Everett, WA 98201 Schedule (Part-Time): 3-8-hour shifts per week If you reside near Everett, Washington, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: First point of contact for our patients. Sets the tone for a positive experience Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency and care Schedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelines Uses Multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over phone Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC) Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher) 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with appointment scheduling within a medical office or call center type role UCB/ACD Desktop phone system experience Previous experience with EMR systems, prefer EPIC Basic knowledge of medical terminology Experience or knowledge of insurance/prior authorizations *All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
