Intramotev is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Lead to join the development team to meet growing demands in the development of autonomous rail vehicles. The role has a strong electrical focus with software interaction – the successful candidate will lead development of innovative autonomous capabilities in electrical controllers, battery systems, and electric motor systems for current and future platforms. The development of these capabilities include multi-disciplinary skills - algorithms development, systems development and integration. This position will be based out of St. Louis, MO This position involves working in a dynamic team environment on small (3-6) to medium (6-10) person projects where excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed. Due to the research nature of the work, project objectives and requirements are likely to evolve over the course of the role. A small amount of domestic travel to support integration, demonstration and customer engagement will be required. Position Responsibilities Leads work with stakeholders to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Research technological advancements for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science 4+ years of experience with controllers and electrical systems Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment or as an individual contributor Fluent in both written and verbal English Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below: 4+ years of experience C, C++, C# and/or Python programming Unmanned Rail Systems / Unmanned Systems Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries. Typical Education and Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
