In addition, the Intake Specialist will process incoming mail and update the systems as needed, to include the uploading of documentation. As an Intake Specialist, you will: Work at the EAP site in person 2 or 3 days a week. Manually data enter cases into the system and upload documents received by clients or members to process Medicaid applications. Responsible for updating incoming mail in the company system and sorting return mail to update in CBMS. Assign cases to the Enrollment Specialists Handle incoming calls and route voice messages to the appropriate individual for follow up Work with clients, customers and Enrollment Specialists very closely to obtain verifications to include medical records, income and resource information. Document CBMS and company database with action that was taken on the account/application in a timely manner. Effectively and accurately follow established work procedures and guidelines to be efficient in the Medicaid case processing and re-determination processes. Include application completion, collection of all documentation, data entry into CBMS, including detailed case comments. Attend any company and/or facility compliance training, as well as training put on by the State of Colorado. Comply with all company policies as well as state and federal regulations including, but not limited to attendance, performance, patient privacy, system security and safety. Maintain knowledge of all State MCD and CHP+ policy information/guidelines/training. Locate, understand, and interpret written information in a variety of formats including documents such as manuals, reports, graphs, etc. Follow current HIPAA guidelines. Use reference material available on CBMS, HCPF and SDD website effectively and regularly. Effectively use computer systems to include but not limited to company database system and CBMS system. Bilingual Spanish capability is a plus. Attend any company and/or facility compliance training, as well as training put on by the State of Colorado.You will be successful if you have: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-3 years of related experience in customer service, Enrollment Specialist or similar role. CBMS access (not required) and Experience processing Medical Assistance applications (Long Term Care, MAGI, Non-MAGI) is a plus.
