Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our hospital-based team in St Petersburg, FL. Our team values patient care and is committed to providing high-quality results. We welcome a talented and passionate addition like you who shares our dedication to the patient experience. Qualifications: State of Florida Medical Technologist License is required. Generalist license (all areas) is required but we will consider applicants licensed in 3 or more of the following areas: Blood bank Serology Chemistry Hematology Microbiology Responsibilities: Conduct accurate and timely laboratory testing, following instructions and meeting established time frames ssume departmental responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor Maintain complete and accurate records/documentation related to patient results Perform urgent procedures within specified turnaround time targets Demonstrate critical thinking skills in the correlation and interpretation of patient results, including performing delta checks Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs, resolving any outstanding workload or communicating with staff relief Take appropriate corrective action when patient, quality control, standard, calibration, and proficiency results deviate from established guidelines Education: ssociate's Degree/ Bachelors is required. 4 yr Bachelors Degree in Med technology is preferred.
