Wright Technical Services, representing a Fortune 500 client in Greater Dayton, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the established quality standards, as well as managing the quality control team onsite. As a Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining our clients reputation for excellence and ensuring that their customers receive the highest quality products and services.
Role qualifications:
Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
Play an active role in maintaining the integrity of the quality management system when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.
Focus on department supervision, Personnel Development, design, development, and standardization.
Broad understanding of manufacturing.
Effective management and leadership skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective team building and collaborative attitude.
Position responsibilities:
Effective communication skills both verbal and written when communicating with management, co-workers, and customers.
Administer calibration system.
Participate in the approval of suppliers.
Work with customers as required to resolve discrepancies or complaints.
Update Process Procedures as required.
Serve as Internal Auditor to monitor client facility compliance to ISO and AS9100 requirements.
Lead corrective and preventative action activities as it pertains to the QMS system.
Strong knowledge in metrics and reports.
Represent the Quality Department in Gasoline Alley Meetings
Determine project staffing requirements based on overall project schedule and assign/re-direct resources accordingly.
Develop, maintain, & monitor departmental metrics and take appropriate action based on the results.
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of strategic plan and 2025/2030 vision.
Essential skills and experience:
Minimum High School Diploma required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Quality Management Preferred.
10 years in quality engineering or inspection function required.
10 years previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Educational, training, and experience requirements may be modified at the Managements Team's discretion.
Nonessential skills and experience:
G.E. DSQR Training and certification.
Internal Auditor training and certification.
SPC and Machine Capability training.
Calibration Training
Rockwell Hardness Tester training
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)
Understand the Company's EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company's Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
Know that the company EHS procedures are located on the ISO drive.
Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
Attend required EHS training.
