The primary responsibility is to triage and provide care for patients presenting to and hospitalized in our Emergency and Critical Care Department. The successful candidate embodies our culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.Schedule:Full time needed (part time is available)36+ hours per weekSwing shift - afternoons and nightsIncludes weekendsParticipation in some holiday coverageCompensation:Competitive hourly pay - dependent on experienceShift differential also available Responsibilities: Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visitPartnering with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and proceduresCompleting patient daily treatments in a timely manner at key treatment timesAssessing hospitalized patients, using intuitive skills as a Technician Assisting with flow and organization of Emergency and Critical Care departmentObtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspiratesUtilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessmentExecuting, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic eventsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above listed responsibilities satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
