Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Unity Developer to join our development team. As a Junior Unity Developer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of Unity-based applications and games. You will work closely with experienced developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of Unity-based applications, games, and interactive experiences.
- Collaborate with the development team to create innovative and engaging gameplay mechanics, user interfaces, and visual effects.
- Help implement and integrate 3D assets, animations, and audio resources into Unity projects.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and other developers to optimize performance and improve overall project quality.
- Assist in debugging and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure smooth functionality across different platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest Unity features, tools, and industry trends, and actively contribute to the team's knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes, workflows, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid understanding of Unity development principles, including scene management, asset integration, and scripting (C# or UnityScript).
- Experience with game mechanics, physics systems, and animation within Unity.
- Familiarity with 3D asset creation and optimization techniques.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for gaming and interactive experiences.
- Experience with other game engines or frameworks (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Experience working within modeling/simulation for DoD.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
