The Compliance Analyst will ensure maximum long-term success of Maverick Gaming properties in Colorado and Nevada, through the specific responsibility of compliance of all appropriate regulations and standards set by the State of Colorado, Nevada, the Internal Revenue Service and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with and enforce all policies, procedures, regulations and laws pertaining to Title 31 regulations set forth by the IRS, FinCEN and BSA.
- Knowledge of internal control procedures and standards for Group I and Group II casinos as set by the State of Nevada and internal control procedures and standards for casinos as set by the State of Colorado.
- Assisting Compliance management with state gaming, IRS Title 31 audits and MICS and ICP requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to company business.
- Responsible for external reporting including but not limited to direct access to auditing documents of historical analysis by retrieving/returning audit boxes 10-25lbs from the warehouse and on property.
- Gathering and review and audit of all gaming department monetary logs for the filings of Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports with the Internal Revenue Service/FinCen for all Colorado and Northern Nevada properties.
- Review and propose revisions to the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) plan in accordance to Title 31 guidelines.
- Communicate with the Compliance management to keep them appraised of possible obstacles, opportunities and progress of title 31 compliance and gaming operations.
- Assist in training of Title 31(IRS/FinCen) throughout the organization.
- Minutes-recorder for AML and Compliance committee meetings.
- Verbal & aesthetically pleasing communication skills.
- Perform related and/or other duties as required.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Must obtain a Nevada Gaming card.
- Title 31 Training.
- Must have auditing experience.
- Working knowledge in MS Word and Excel and the Internet.
- Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressured situations.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
