If you enjoy overseeing compliance and regulatory programs and feel the position below is right for you, be a part of our team, and apply nowPosition OverviewThe AVP/Compliance is responsible for facilitating lending compliance solutions across the company's operational systems to enhance origination integrity while improving workflow efficiencies, quality, accuracy and uniformity of residential mortgage lending products and services. This role must have deep subject matter expertise in all federal and state mortgage lending laws. This role supervises the Compliance Team and reports to the VP/Legal Affairs & Compliance.This position can be remote with travel to the Stamford and Irvine offices required periodically.Responsibilities:Manage the Compliance TeamOversee Fair Lending risk assessments, monitoring and testingHMDA review and reportingFederal and State ReportingNMLS Quarterly Call Report filingsReview, draft and implement compliance policies and proceduresManage the process of responding to external audits/examinations and respond to inquiries from regulatory agenciesMonitor emerging compliance issues/trendsCollaborate with the Quality Control Team to implement and test corrective actions related to internal and external auditsAssist Training Manager with developing and implementing employee training and communications related to compliance issuesAttend and report at Executive Committee meetingsMember of the Fair Lending CommitteePerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, education and experience requiredMinimum eight to ten years of progressive mortgage compliance management experienceStrong analytical, critical thinking, research, presentation and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, take initiative and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentSupervisory/management experience requiredExtensive experience with current mortgage related laws and regulations (e.g., TILA, RESPA, TRID, ECOA, FCRA, HMDA, HOEPA)Experience with various loan products, including Non-QMExperience with various lending channels such as Wholesale, Correspondent, Conduit and RetailStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to operate under demanding deadlinesAbility to identify and mitigate riskCreative problem-solver with strong research and writing skills.Robust data driven skills with the ability to analyze and report to management monthlyProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel)Experience with Encompass loan origination system strongly desiredJD from ABA approved law school, a plusMortgage Loan Quality Control experience, a plusPerks and BenefitsAt LMC we believe our employees are our greatest asset.
