Position Type: Administration/Accountant Date Posted: 3/14/2024 Location: School Administrative Unit 53 Closing Date: 04/01/2024 Primary Responsibility : Staff Accountant; assist in assuring that all business functions are managed efficiently including monthly and annual financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations. Assist in developing the annual budget, and performs complex professional financial management and analysis work. Manages multi-year contracts, procurement cards and donation accounts. Assists with year-end financial closure and with any district questions or concerns. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports according to guidelines and directives set forth in the NH Financial Accounting Handbook for School Districts. Ability to read and interrupt documents such as accounting statements, business correspondences, government regulations, contracts and procedure manuals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and establish a conclusion. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements, accounting standards and Board policies. Covering Duties: Assist with any tasks that needs immediate attention, in the absence of other personnel. Auditor: Assist the auditor with any and all materials needed for the yearly audit. Terms of Employment: 260 Days Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually.
