Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist in review of income and expense accounts as requested
Assist in reconciliation and posting of credit card transactions
Prepare monthly & quarterly budget to actual variance reports by department
Summarize and prepare financial and transaction reports as required by Controller and Senior Accountant
Assisting accounts payable and receivables as required
Complete all administrative duties and tasks pertaining to the role
Other duties as assigned within the Finance Department
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 2 year of General Ledger Experience, preferable in a manufacturing or distribution company environment
Skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
Good time management and organizational skills
Detailed oriented and must have the ability to work independently without much supervision.
Intermediate excel skills required
Previous ERP experience a plus
General understanding of GAAP
Needs to be assertive as well as friendly and courteous when he/she communicates within the department as well as with other departments
Special Requirements:
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
The essential functions of this job require frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time as well as occasional standing and walking. Sensory demands require the ability to constantly hear and talk, both in person and by phone, and the ability to use a computer, calculator, and standard office equipment. Specific vision acuity required by this job includes close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and color vision when inspecting products. Physical demands include bending, stooping, and reaching above and below shoulder level in order to access records, as well as lifting and carrying files and documents typically weighing less than 25 pounds, with or without assistance.
