Whos the business:

Zanda is partnering with a high growth, SaaS business based in New York, that was recognized on Deloitte's Fast 500 list. The client is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company and a Series A startup that specializes in providing cutting-edge solutions to our clients. Their team of experts has been working hard to develop the latest technology that empowers businesses to leverage artificial intelligence in order to streamline their processes and maximize their profits.

They are looking to appoint a Controller to identify and build scalable finance processes, whilst managing the statutory reporting.

What experiences you will gain:

  • Lead annual audit process
  • Maintain timely and accurate accounting including:
  • Creation of financial statements (GAAP)
  • Implementing new accounting guidance
  • Partner Invoicing (accounts receivable)
  • Vendor/employee payments (accounts payable)
  • Monitor existing policies and procedures and identify improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures
  • Ensure that the Company is legally compliant when doing business
  • Taxes - Entity tax, Sales tax, and state payroll tax
  • Company registrations in each state
  • Manage Senior Accountant

What background should you have before you press apply

  • 8+ years of experience with a combination of public accounting and industry accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required; CPA preferred
  • Previous experience working with high-growth start-ups
  • Demonstrated experience scaling and leading accounting teams in order to build strong financial infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with peers to develop and to execute strong financial operations
