Job Type Full-timeDescriptionOur office is looking for a fun, energetic back-office Sterilization Tech. Patient care and experience are very important to our office. We value an individual who exhibits the ability to communicate, multi-tasks and works well with others. We have three office locations and two doctors. Teamwork and dependability are crucial for this position. We have a four-day weekend every other week. Come join our fun, fast paced orthodontic officeDuties/Responsibilities:Clean supplies, equipment, instruments and instrument trays, following standard precautions for decontaminationSterilize and disinfect dental instruments properly: must remove all organic and inorganic materials from dental instruments before sterilization process Test sterilization equipment routinely to insure proper functionalityResponsible for daily and monthly maintenance of all sterilization equipment, hand pieces, hand piece motors, suction and trapsOperate water sterilization tools according to established guidelinesPerform equipment inventory and restock supplies when neededMaintain accurate sterilization recordsAbility to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situationsKnowledge of OSHA and state regulationsKnowledge of the English language - composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuationSkilled in the use of standard office equipment including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software)Ability to instill trust from the doctors, co-workers, and patientsAbility to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patientsAbility to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent mannerAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive criticismAbility to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentialityAbility to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competentlyAbility to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilitiesOther duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalentSelf-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitudeWork well with patients and teamCommitted to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as neededRequired to travel to three office locations Salary Description $16-$17 Hourly
