Senior Healthcare Licensing and Enrollment Specialist - Corporate | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, Tennessee
About the Job:
The Senior Licensure and Enrollment Specialist will lead and coordinate healthcare facility licensure and renewal efforts, changes of information, and enrollment applications with state licensure agencies and government payor programs for Summit BHC (together with its affiliates and operating facilities, the "Company").

This role within the Company's Legal department, will be held by one who works well with others including facility teams, corporate professionals, and state regulators; is detail oriented and organized; and is kind, calm under pressure, thoughtful, and collaborative.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, tracks and manages all aspects of state and local licensure applications, permits and renewals for the Company;
  • Manages enrollment and renewal applications for the Company's participation in federal and state government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, as well as commercial payors, as requested;
  • Maintains detailed, centralized records for all licenses, permits and enrollment applications; and compiles and monitors relevant information to ensure proactive steps are taken for timely renewals;
  • Ensures that a consistent approach is followed with licensure, permitting and enrollment matters; and develops and implements industry-leading best practices to build relevant departmental capabilities, processes and functions;
  • Coordinates with numerous stakeholders, including corporate and facility leadership, legal team and outside counsel on licensing, enrollment and other related legal or business matters;
  • Supervises vendors who provide services related to licensing, enrollment, or revenue cycle management functions;
  • Collaborates on initiatives to improve efficiency in the license, permitting and enrollment processes and the management of related documentation;
  • Serves as a member of a high performing team; builds and maintains exceptional employee morale and motivation; and fosters a diverse, equitable and inclusive department and workplace;
  • Through leadership and actions, demonstrates a commitment to continual improvement, improved efficiency and enhanced effectiveness;
  • Produces, coordinates and provides relevant education and training; and
  • Actively contributes to the legal team and the organization generally through development and implementation of industry-leading best practices to build departmental capabilities, processes and functions.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of seven to ten years' of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house law department setting, or comparable government organization.
