Oncology ICU Nurse

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology ICU Nurse to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Use therapeutic communication to build strong relationships with patients and families. Implement and direct care using the nursing process, with a focus on individual patient needs. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, promoting a supportive culture that treats patients and families with dignity and respect. Provide emotional support and education to patients and families, empowering them to make informed healthcare decisions. Participate in department-specific initiatives and process improvement, contributing to the ongoing development of our ICU team. Requirements Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 months of employment start date. ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required within 60 days of employment start date. Minimum 1 year of experience in high acuity ICU medical/surgical patients, with a preference for experience in oncology. Level 2 competencies in graft vs host disease identification and management, management of cellular therapy complications, and tumor lysis syndrome identification.
