Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is seeking a

Group Sales Coordinator.

As Group Sales Coordinator you will support the Sales Team to ensure that they have the tools, supplies and resources that they need to deliver exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for assisting with selling guestrooms, meeting rooms and additional services to companies or groups as needed. Duties may also include conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating new and repeat business, maintaining organization of office files and reports and preparing written correspondence. Responsibilities also include working with operations staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and achieve revenue goals.

Your Responsibilities:

Assist the Sales Team in selling guestrooms, meeting rooms and additional services to companies or groups as needed Conduct site inspections to showcase the property to potential clients Solicit and generate new and repeat business to achieve revenue goals Maintain organization of office files and reports Prepare written correspondence to clients and prospects Work with operations staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction Provide exceptional customer service to clients and prospects

Essential Experience/Aptitudes:

High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in sales or customer service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of hotel industry and sales processes preferred

Desired Skills/Experience:

Friendly sounding, articulate voice with good vocabulary. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Possess a courteous, friendly and professional manner. Patience and tact required to accommodate customer needs, and resolve occasional difficult situations. High quality standards for production and service. Must be detail oriented, organized and efficient. Highly self-motivated.

Essential Physical Abilities:

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Endure a high volume of phone usage. Must be flexible to work long and sometimes irregular hours.
