About the Position

As a Temporary Ballot Curing Clerk, you would assist in facilitating the election process. This would be through performing data entry, providing customer support, verifying signatures, and conducting election outreach services.

The Temporary Ballot Curing Clerk is a temporary assignment with Maricopa County before, during, and after the election cycle.

We Require

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona
  • Must pass an applicable background screening
  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary
  • Must be comfortable with all forms of communication (phone calls, emails, texting, etc.)

Job Contributions

  • Utilizes proprietary Elections software to view signature files and verify voter signatures on affidavit envelopes
  • Outreach to voters primarily via telephone to verify identity on Early Voting affidavit envelopes and explain simple processes
  • Performs a large volume of phone calls or texting to assist voters and provide conflict resolution
  • Performs general office duties, including data entry, email communications to voters, mail sorting, filing, and other duties as needed
  • Provides professional, non-partisan customer service to voters

Working Conditions

  • Full-time/Temporary/Overtime hours is mandatory during the election cycle
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Upper extremity repetitive motion
  • Ability to review small font on hard copy or computer screen
  • Ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 25 pounds and carry for 100 feet
  • Large volume of inbound and outbound calls
