Local nonprofit, serving blind and visually impaired individuals, is currently seeking a Full-time Access Technology Specialist to join our team.

Description of Duties:

  • Independently travel to residential/educational/vocational client locations to provide skilled direct technology services to blind and visually impaired individuals
  • Provide agency-based classroom client services and staff support
  • Provide skilled assistive and mainstream technology technical support services
  • Complete detailed service reports as directed
  • Establish contact with and arrange client scheduling
  • Report to program supervisor on routine basis regarding all aspects of employment role
  • Learn and maintain additional skills/knowledge necessary for delivering required client services
Requirements:
  • High school graduate - experience with assistive technology a plus
  • Capable of working independently and with others
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Capable of thoroughly following directions and meeting deadlines
  • Capable of independently commuting to and from locations as necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to learn required skills/knowledge
  • Demonstrate effective touch-type keyboarding skills
  • Possess skills and knowledge of various Windows Operating System platforms
  • Possess skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and web browser programs

Schedule is Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of Fridays and weekends when necessary during the hours of 8am to 4pm
