Job Overview: Our client, a leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing technology solutions for various markets, including data centers, public networks, and industrial applications, is seeking a Plant Controller for their Fort Worth, TX location. This role is crucial for providing financial leadership, analysis, and reporting to optimize the company's financial performance and ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements. The Plant Controller will support both site-level and corporate financial planning and projects.

Key Responsibilities: Fort Worth, TX Operations:
  • Develop monthly financial reports and analysis for plant operations; review results with the cross-functional operations leadership team to drive action towards growth objectives.
  • Partner with plant leadership to develop meaningful metrics and provide tools and recommendations for financial optimization and decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate inventory unit cost valuation and monthly inventory changes; support inventory-related processes.
  • Support the development of plant capital appropriation requests and validate ROI drivers.
  • Provide financial leadership for product/process development, cost reduction, and asset utilization initiatives.
  • Lead the annual plant budget process, collaborating with the plant leadership team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions for accounts payable, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, and tax.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the Research Development & Engineering and General & Administrative teams.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of ERP and financial systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Provide financial training to staff and ensure site compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, regulatory, tax, and internal control requirements.
Corporate Finance:
  • Develop and maintain models and analyses for corporate-level financial plans, including forecasts, annual budgets, and 5-year plans.
  • Coordinate the company's risk management portfolio, planning, and administration.
  • Assist the VP - Finance and Senior Leadership Team with other financial and strategic projects as requested.
Requirements include: Education:
  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting, with at least three years in manufacturing cost accounting.
Skills:
  • Strong business partnership skills, including communication, collaboration, and influence building.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented self-starter with a willingness to understand business operations beyond financial data.
  • Proficient in using Excel for financial planning, modeling, and analysis.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Certifications:
  • Not specified.
Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of ERP and financial systems integration.
