JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Computerized Tomography CT

Shift timings: 22:30 - 07:00 Monday to firday (5 Days/8 Hours)

Per Week: 40 Hours

This would be Multimodality position (CT & X-Ray): Would need CT experience, we can train/refresh on XR

About the department: We have two Siemens CT machines, Carestream DR room and portable, GE portable and GE c-arms.

The majority of patients are ED and surgery post-op.

The majority of CT exams are General and Angio.

Requirements: CT experience, ARRT, BLS -We are currently down 5 associates.

Two travel technologists here it would provide enough relief to help us retain the current staff and better serve our patients.

Roles & Responsibilities
•Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
•Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
•Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
•Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
•Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
•Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
•Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
•Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
•BLS and ACLS
•National Institutes of Health (NIH)
•Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
•The ability to stand for extended periods.
•Strong technical skills.
•Knowledge of medical terminology
•Passionate about patient care
•Requires a minimum of two years of current Computed Tomography Technologist experience.
•Graduate from a fully accredited Computed Tomography Technologist/Radiology Technologist program
•Active unencumbered Oklahoma Computed Tomography Technologist state license
•One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
•COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
