Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.

Responsibilities:
  • Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
  • Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
  • Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required.
Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Computed Tomography Technologist experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Computed Tomography Technologist/Radiology Technologist program.
  • Active unencumbered Oklahoma Computed Tomography Technologist state license.
  • One year of Cerner experience.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
