Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps practices and extensive experience in software development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of programming languages, including .NET, Java, Python, and Go, and a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, drive innovation, and contribute to the success of high-impact projects.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a software developer or engineer, with a focus on building secure and scalable solutions. Proficiency in software development languages such as .NET, Java, Python, and Go. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience working in a DevSecOps environment, with a strong emphasis on security throughout the software development lifecycle. Hands-on experience with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub. Minimum of 3 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes (K8), and CI/CD Automation. Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Rancher, OpenShift, etc. Proven ability to work well in both team-based and individual settings. Willingness and ability to work on-site at client locations in downtown Washington, DC, at least 5 days per week.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable software solutions using a variety of programming languages and technologies. Implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design architecture, and ensure alignment with security standards and best practices. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates for provisioning and managing cloud resources. Configure and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and other container orchestration tools. Drive CI/CD automation initiatives to streamline software delivery and improve efficiency. Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior team members. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or challenges.
