Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute DevOps Strategy: Craft a comprehensive DevOps roadmap aligned with our architecture standards and program objectives.

  • Hands-On Implementation: Lead and contribute to DevOps initiatives across applications, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of DevOps practices.

  • Measure and Improve: Establish metrics to track value and maturity, set benchmarks, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

  • Mentorship and Coaching: Coach and guide team members to foster a DevOps culture and develop their skills.

  • Evaluate and Innovate: Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and practices, recommending enhancements to drive business value and efficiency.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of DevOps tools and technologies (see Qualifications).

  • Collaboration and Communication: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, effectively communicating DevOps strategies and progress.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps implementation, application architecture, development and software engineering practices, with responsibilities ranging from hands-on work, defining strategy and leading implementation across a variety of technology stacks such as Java/.Net, Mainframe, low code platforms, open-source and off-the-shelf products.

  • Experience in partnering with the business, product management, and product development teams to propose and improve products that deliver value while implementing modernization such as DevOps practices.

  • Experience in a variety of software products, tools, and technologies such as Seibel CRM, Genesys, Verint, Jira, Zephyr, ReadyAPI, UrbanCode, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Gradle, Groovy, jFrog, Cucumber, Selenium, Leapwork, Webload, jUnit, SoapUI, jMeter, Bash, PowerShell, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Chrome Developer Tools, Dynatrace, NetProfile, AppInternals, Python, Veracode, Tenable, Artifactory, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Excellent communication/influencing skills to all levels of the organization, including technical engineers and business leaders

  • Proven ability to lead and implement DevOps initiatives across diverse technology stacks.

  • Experience partnering with business, product management, and development teams for value-driven modernization.

  • Expertise in a wide range of DevOps tools and technologies 

  • Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies.

  • Experience with on-prem and cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with government security requirements (CMS ARS, FISMA, PHI/PII).

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to thrive in a matrix environment.
