About the Position:
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant (PA) who is well organized, energetic, and capable of managing day-to-day tasks efficiently. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, pays meticulous attention to detail, and is open to cross-training within the department and with other departments.
Responsibilities:
•Work with both inbound and outbound teams on any product-related issues.
•Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the show room, sample room, and fabric room.
•Interact with various departments including Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
•Utilize multiple systems to create, maintain, and dispatch various reports while ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
•Liaise with manufacturing regarding receipts, damages, inventory adjustments, and process claims accordingly.
•Facilitate order changes and obtain necessary approvals.
•Assist Purchasers in resolving both domestic and international supply chain issues.
•Proactively works delivering results in meeting cost, quality, delivery, and inventory goals.
•Participates in project teams, when necessary, to ensure effective implementation of change and project timelines are met.

Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
•High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
•Proficiency in critical thinking and comfortable working across multiple systems.
•Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
•Sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
•Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisor to accomplish tasks
•Capacity to manage deadlines and multitask effectively, with the ability to reprioritize tasks as needed.
•Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting.
•Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
•Associates' degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
•2-5 years of experience in a business supply chain environment.
•Experience utilizing an Inventory Management System
•Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
Salary Description
$20-22.00/hour
