Back Job Overview: Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the

Accountant

will be accountable for timely and accurate financial reporting according to GAAP and any local requirements. He / She will ensure compliance and proper implementation of accounting standards. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with the completion of external audits (accounting audits, banks, tax, etc.). He / She will also perform balance sheet reconciliations, prepare financial statements, and any other related reporting. Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Lead/participate in technical accounting matters and provide recommendations as necessary, to ensure financial accuracy (including position papers as needed) Ensure financial transactions are GAAP compliant with proper supporting documentation Review/interpret GAAP guidelines, as needed Guarantee the general ledger information reliability and transparency Conduct and ensure general ledger account reconciliations are completed and reviewed monthly Support the monthly reconciliation of expense tool to ensure expenses are reconciled to bank statements and properly reflected in financials Perform research on new insights and initiatives the organization may want to pursue. Handle/support accounts receivable / treasury/cash application activities Support financial forecasts as needed as well as all financial and tax reporting requirements Required Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience: The ideal candidate will have/possess the following qualifications and competencies: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting (2 to 6) years of professional experience in a similar position Public Auditing experience is highly preferred Automotive industry

and/or manufacturing experience preferred Possess strong knowledge in GAAP, MS suite including advanced MS Excel, Pivot Tables Knowledge of SAP and reporting systems (Adaptive or similar), preferred Functional/technical skills, problem-solving, drive for results, decision-making, quality, interpersonal savvy, strategic agility, courage, and innovative thinking Ability to work in a team-oriented and dynamic work environment Self-starter with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Paying close attention to details Perform other related duties as assigned Teamwork/Leadership Skills Ability to ask critical questions and gather data that effectively addresses business problems Ability to coordinate and manage tasks within a broader project Possess strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision Very hands-on
