Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our client's team for their 1st shift. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of facilities. The position offers a pay rate of $16 per hour. To be considered for this position, please submit your resume. Qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, and meeting areas.

2. Mop tile and concrete floor areas.

3. Vacuum all rugs.

4. Dust all furniture and fixtures as required.

5. Wash and disinfect all bathroom floors, toilets, sinks, and hand fixtures.

6. Clean all mirrors

7. Replenish paper supplies as needed.

8. Empty all trash cans and shredders (including production areas); dispose of in outside

hopper.

9. Maintain primary employee entrance and main entrance. Keep areas free of clutter and

debris.

10. Wash and disinfect coffee and water machines.

11. Restock necessary kitchen supplies.

12. Mix powdered sports drink when temperatures exceed 80 degrees. Clean and disinfect

coolers regularly and before cold temperature storage.

13. Spot clean doors, stalls, and walls as needed. Disinfect doorknobs, faucets, and light

switches daily.

14. Clean sinks, tables, and counters daily.

15. Perform and/or report minor maintenance issues.

16. Mop areas per area cleaning checklist.

17. Report damages and acts of vandalism.

18. Maintain mudroom, storage areas, and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a

safe and systematic manner to ensure the safety of the staff and public.

19. Fill all soap dispensers as needed.

20. Clean up bloodborne pathogens as needed. May, on occasion, have to clean and

disinfect areas that have been contaminated with body fluids.

21. Perform other related duties as required.

Work Experience

Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge and understanding of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals,

products, and equipment.

2. Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly in the use and

application of cleaning chemicals and products.

3. Ability to work under little supervision.

4. Proficient in time management.

5. Must be honest and trustworthy.

6. Must possess a degree of flexibility.

7. Demonstrate effective verbal and listening skills.

8. Demonstrate sound work ethics.

9. Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

10. Ability to work well in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.

11. Understand and support Company policies and procedures.

12. Safety conscious behavior.

13. Excellent attendance.

Physical Requirements:

1. Sit, stand and walk for 1-10 hours a day

2. Lift, carry, push and or pull 1-50 lbs frequently

3. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach outward frequently

4. Ability to work in a 65-88 degree Fahrenheit work environment

5. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision

protection, hand protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
