YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, you will be part of the Mill Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Leading capital and operating projects for the mill through all phases including planning, engineering, procurement, construction management and comissioning;
Developing project charters, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, safe work practices and procedures for all projects;
Coordinating mill projects to ensure compliance to all required standards/policies/procedures and delivered safely;
Driving efforts to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and on budget, and providing recommendations for optimization of all projects
Managing hazard assessments, safety efforts, risks, resources, quality control and documents related to mill projects;
Participate in the preparation of proposals, trade-off studies, feasibility to detailed engineering studies, and engineering reports;
Work and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate mill projects;
Visiting job sites to conduct audits and ensure compliance to Agnico standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Minimum 3 years of mill process, chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical, and/or industrial engineering experience an asset;
Detailed project management skills: planning, organizing, budgeting, troubleshooting and risk management;
Ability to work independently, and to take initiative to coordinate various departments/contractors to meet objectives;
General computer skills to use computer programs for cost control, planning, procurement, work orders and report writing;
Engineering background to perform all key accountabilities;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
YOUR WORK SCHEDULE:
Schedule: 4/3, or 5/2 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
