About Newbury Franklin Industrials:Newbury Franklin Industrials (“NFI”) was officially launched on February 19, 2021 with the acquisition of USA Sealing, Inc. NFI exists to organically grow and build the leading supplier of consumable industrial components to the North American maintenance, repair, and operations (“MRO”) market. To date, NFI has completed 8 add-on acquisitions and two sale leaseback transactions. Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, NFI is capitalized by a team of experienced business operators, which affords the luxury of accelerating organic growth – we are seeking to build and grow a supplier of consumable industrial components into a generational powerhouse. Job Description:The VP Finance / Controller will serve as a thought leader to the CFO with respect to financial reporting, business intelligence, budgeting, forecasting, and strategy. The Controller will (i) refine and timely report the financial statements at each of NFI’s operating companies such that they provide actionable business intelligence by tracking daily and long-term KPIs and offering a granular understanding of the unit economics of the business; (ii) analyze and advise on organic and inorganic growth opportunities by completing analysis and due diligence; (iii) ensure prudent and sophisticated financial management of NFI’s centralized services, and (iv) serve as a coach and support resource to the on-the-ground leadership of NFI’s operating companies.
Responsibilities:Build, refine and maintain complete, error-free, detailed and accurate budgets, forecasts and financial statements that inform daily operations and longer-term planningActively manage cash & net working capital to maximize operating cash flowEstablish & define best-in-class policies & procedures for reporting…and wherever possible, consolidate finance/accounting systems to drive operating efficiency in reporting and communicating business intelligence (via KPI dashboards)Collaborate with CFO and management team as a strategic thought leaderOptimize vendor relationships and billingCultivate confidence-inspiring relationships with lendersOptimize tax implications for the company and shareholdersInvest in collective personal and professional growth in order to facilitate organizational growth and your development as a leader
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 4+ years of related experienceFluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)GAAP knowledge, CPA preferredStrong written, verbal and collaboration skills
