As an Account Manager-Collectibles at BDA, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail accounts as we seek to provide gamers and collectors with high-quality products and collectibles that celebrate their favorite video game franchises. Your primary focus will be on understanding the retailers’ needs and objectives, recommending suitable collectible and retail merchandise solutions and programs, and ensuring the successful execution and on-time delivery of projects and programs as we continue to expand our product line and market presence. You will coordinate marketing efforts, sales promotions and creative new product launches. Successful project and program execution will require excellent communication skills and collaboration with various internal teams, retail accounts, licensing partners and other agencies/suppliers to meet customer expectations and contribute to the overall growth and success of BDA.

Duties and responsibilities

Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing accounts while growing new relationships Identify and establish strategic partnerships with video game developers publishers, and licensing agencies. Assist in negotiating contracts, licensing agreements, and terms of partnership to maximize profitability and brand exposure. Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the distribution of our collectibles through various channels including retail, e-commerce and direct to consumer. Act as main point of contact for accounts, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally Understand clients’ promotional objectives, target audience, budget and deadline constraints to offer tailored collectible merchandise solutions and retail programs Work closely with product development team to identify new collectibles opportunities and guide the creation of innovative products. Monitor product performance and adjust strategies based on sales and customer feedback Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and best practices to provide informed recommendations, enhance our offerings and maintain a competitive edge. Understand BDA business units and services to evaluate and Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products, programs or services to existing clients Create compelling proposals & presentations that showcase the value of our products and services Develop proactive strategy, presentation and pitches for client opportunities Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for clients based on their requirements Facilitate the order process from ideation through delivery, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and communicated to internal teams. Coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams (design, logistics, product development, import, purchasing etc) to deliver on spec and on time. Monitor client satisfaction and address any issues to ensure a high level of customer retention. Deliver results by achieving short and long-term sales and profitability goals. Manage contact and opportunity database and execute strategic account plans Exude high levels of professionalism when interacting with clients, internal partners and external vendors and agencies

Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving abilities Willingess to travel as required

Qualifications

3+ years proven experience in sales, account management, and business development Proven track record of increasing sales and business opportunities through client development Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint) Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools for sales and order management. (Salesforce preferred) Promotional or collectible merchandise experience preferred but not required Knowledge/experience within the video game industry preferred Import product development and experience working within a manufacturer/Import to distributorship model a plus
