MongoDB is seeking a Frontend Engineer (Software Engineer 3) to join the Cloud Services Team. You will be joining the Cloud Frontend Platform Team that is focused on strengthening and improving the frontend experience for our customers and MongoDB Cloud engineers.

This is an exciting team tackling challenging projects such as responsive layout, dark mode, accessibility, internationalization, and designing frontend frameworks that will be used by every MongoDB Cloud product team.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York and would like a hybrid or in-office working model.

Our ideal candidate
  • Has 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Has worked on complex, production-ready web applications
  • Deeply understands JavaScript and is familiar with modern JavaScript APIs and syntax
  • Has a robust understanding of HTML and CSS core concepts and best practices
  • Writes high quality code and is capable of making small backend improvements in a compiled language (Java, C#, etc.)
  • Is knowledgeable about a wide range of web and internet technologies
  • Has a passion for creating resilient, scalable, and maintainable software
  • Is excited to improve the experiences of our users, both internal and external
  • Is experienced with building highly-interactive applications using React
  • Has experience configuring and debugging frontend tooling. Examples include: TypeScript, Webpack, Emotion CSS, Redux, Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme, Backbone

  • Design frameworks and developer friendly APIs that will be used by every engineer within MongoDB Cloud Services

  • Own and direct change that enables your fellow engineers to be successful with their frontend-focused work
