The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Frontend Engineer to join the dynamic team. As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing our web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions. This role requires expertise in TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, Figma, and CSS, as well as experience in taking web applications from 0 to 1 and scaling them effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality frontend solutions using TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences.
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect web pages and components.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring excellent performance across different devices and browsers.
  • Drive the development of new features and enhancements from concept to deployment, maintaining a focus on usability and user experience.
  • Mentor and guide junior frontend engineers, providing technical leadership and promoting best practices in frontend development.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in frontend development, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building and scaling web applications.
  • Expertise in TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, Figma, and CSS, with a deep understanding of modern frontend development practices.
  • Proven experience in taking web applications from 0 to 1, as well as optimizing and scaling them for performance and reliability.
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and tools, with a track record of delivering high-performance applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences through high-quality frontend development.
