Summary:
The Interface Analyst I is an entry-level integration role that supports the business goals and objectives for the Integration Team, the Information Services Organization, and the organization as a whole. With supervision, the Interface Analyst I is responsible for translating customer requirements into messaging specifications for application integration, focusing on healthcare integration messaging formats.
Responsibilities:
Works within a team to analyze, design, develop, and deliver integration solutions.
Collaborates with project teams on customer-specific initiatives involving message movement, translation, or integration development to address technical messaging and transformation issues.
Provides message transformations, analyzes customer messaging specifications, and conducts gap analysis.
Creates documentation for reference and support purposes.
Communicates with customers and vendors to clarify messaging format requirements under supervision.
Writes translation plans for moving development work into different environments under supervision.
Supports integration testing as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge of clinical and financial healthcare messaging preferred.
Understanding of messaging formats used in healthcare integration (HL7, EDI, CSV, XML, etc.)
Strong attention to detail.
Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships across the organization.
Process and project-oriented.
High level of intellectual curiosity.
Minimum of 1 year of prior experience integrating between healthcare systems (EMRs, Applications, third parties) preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of IT experience as a technical analyst, implementer, etc. preferred.
Minimum of 1 year working with relational databases, Transact-SQL, and SQL Stored Procedures or any other database preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in MS Office with a focus on Excel, Word, and Visio preferred.
Prior exposure to environments including Diplomat, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter, IBM Integration Bus, is a plus.
IT certifications are a plus.
