Summary
Young Living is seeking a highly motivated professional for the role of Director of Technical Operations. This individual will oversee the technical operations teams, ensuring they meet delivery requirements and business needs. The Director will be responsible for the capabilities, productivity, performance, training, management, and resources of their teams. A strong Director of Technical Operations will foster career growth and a strong team culture. This role involves independent decision-making, strategic conversations, and guidance of operational standards and direction.

Leadership Management:
* Lead and manage the Technology Operations team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development.
* Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth.
* Manage and oversee several technical operations teams and/or multiple operations managers. These functional teams include:
* Tier 2 support
* SysOps
* Cloud Ops - 3rd party
* DevOps - 3rd party
* NOC - 3rd party
* SOC - 3rd party
Operational Oversight:
* Oversee the daily operations of the TechOps department, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of all technology systems.
* Develop and implement TechOps policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
* Monitor and manage TechOps budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and service delivery.
Strategic Planning:
* Collaborate with the CTO and other senior leaders to develop and execute the company's IT strategy.
* Identify and prioritize TechOps initiatives that align with business objectives and drive operational excellence.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Project Management:
* Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of TechOps projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Security and Compliance:
* Ensure the organization's technology infrastructure is secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard data and ensure operational resilience.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment of IT initiatives with business needs.
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on IT performance, projects, and strategic initiatives.

* Working knowledge of technical operations, including cloud services and architectures (AWS preferred).
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibility for two or more employees or managers.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms. This individual is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in information technology, MIS, computer science, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Education and Experience
* Certifications such as ITIL, or CISSP.
* Certifications with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
* Experience in a Direct Selling or Network Marketing environment (desired).
