What We're Looking For

This position specifically supports the mission by closely assisting the Associate Director of Fiscal Planning & Analytics in the preparation, coordination, review/evaluation, and distribution of the budget plan.

A Bachelor's degree, a strong educational background in finance, economics, statistics, or accounting, four years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and 6 years of experience is preferred. Additional background in information systems preferred. Advanced degree (MBA or Master of Accountancy) and / or CPA preferred.

Additional experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.

Ideal candidate will possess the following experience and competencies:

* Advanced Excel skills required* Experience with Oracle or similar cloud-based ERP preferred* Predictive financial modeling experience preferred* Higher education experience preferred* Experience with multi-year and all-fund planning, forecasting, and budgeting preferred* Advanced PowerPoint skills preferred* Extensive knowledge of financial analysis methodologies* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills* Ability to work independently and accurately on time-sensitive projects* Ability to interact with members of all levels of the organization

A hybrid work arrangement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

What You Will Do

* Assist in the design, configuration, and update of the university's financial model.* Provide analysis and administrative support to the Associate Director of Fiscal Planning & Analytics.* Assist departments with preparation of comprehensive budgets and assist divisions with long-range planning of revenues and expenses.* Research critical topics, compiles data, and prepare reports to be presented to all levels of the organization.* Significant involvement in the administration for the university's ERP system that supports the budget preparation, reporting, and financial modeling process of the university.* Review expenditures to ensure conformance with budgetary provisions.* Support in all phases of preparing and estimating future revenues and expenditures for multi-year / all-funds budget plan.* Support in configuration of new financial models and maintains existing models.* Review/evaluate/support creation of divisional multi-year budget plans.* Provide comprehensive analyses and reports on a periodic or ad-hoc basis and provide continuous enhancement to management reporting.* Research higher education trends/challenges and provide statistical analyses.* Update and maintain planning and budgeting software system used for budgeting and financial modeling.* Update and maintain user security/access in planning and budgeting software system as well as creates and modifies the workflow processes within it.* Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.* Ability to comply with university policies.* Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
