Responsibilities:Manage and conduct complex analyses for traffic signal optimization and corridor planning studiesAnalyze data for traffic, parking, and signal studies.Prepare, review and implement traffic signal timing plans.Perform field review and validation of signal timing optimization.Develop new work opportunities and prepare proposalsPrepare grant applications for communities to perform signal optimization.Serves as technical expert leading teams of engineers and technical staffProvide technical guidance to other departments and agenciesManage budgets, contracts, and other resources to achieve project goalsMentor and coach staff in developing traffic operations skillsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required, MS Preferred5+ years of related experience requiredMI PE License required, or ability to obtain within 6 months. Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) preferred.Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, organization, and multi-tasking skillsExcellent technical, written, and oral communication skills and familiarity of industry practices and regulationsAbility to attend meetings; both daytime and nighttime meetings, some travel maybe required within Michigan and IndianaStrong working knowledge of Synchro/Sim Traffic required Familiarity or working knowledge of Rodel, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, PTV Vissim, PTV Vistro, HCS a plus.Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Apply today to join one of the 101 Best & Brightest companies to work forEqual Opportunity Employer; Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
