The

Senior Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

develops and executes safety policies and programs to reduce or eliminate hazardous conditions, workplace illnesses or injuries and maintain compliance with governmental regulations.

Compensation:

Exempt salary based on experience. Performance Bonus Eligible. Travel:

20% Location:

Newbury, OH Corporate Headquarters. 100% onsite M-F, 8-5 with some flexibility on hours. Key Responsibilities: Plans, implements, and administers safety protocols, and facilitates safety training. Develops and manages EHS programs, procedures, and work instructions. Maintains documentation of processes, produces progress reports, and develops new policies when necessary. Inspects working conditions to ensure all physical plant and manufacturing processes meet compliance requirements and provides recommendations accordingly. Performs accident investigations, supports development of job hazard analysis and risk assessments. Collaborates with various departments to ensure compliance with all environmental health and safety processes and procedures. Assists with compliance audits and provides timely and appropriate corrective action. Provides administrative and on-site support to Team Blue situations involving the health and safety of employees and visitors. Runs emergency drills to gauge employee readiness. Administers recordkeeping for accident reports, worker’s compensation claims, files accident reports and worker’s compensation claims, prepares OSHA reports, and maintains Material Safety Data Sheets. Education & Qualifications : High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Competencies: Strong knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines for the workplace. Understanding of appropriate emergency protocols and the ability to stay calm, focused and provide leadership during an emergency. Knowledge of legal repercussions of workplace accidents. Familiarity with job site machinery and products. Collaborate work style and good communication skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Good computer skills including knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
