Head of Quality

at our new factory in Columbus. This pivotal position typically reports directly to the CMO. As the Head of Quality, you will be entrusted with the critical task of planning, developing, and directing quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives within our organization. You will oversee rigorous process and product testing to ensure strict compliance with established quality standards and government regulations. Additionally, you will spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive quality standards, tools, training, and methodologies. Your keen attention to detail will be instrumental as you continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of production processes and the quality of resulting products. Drawing upon your extensive knowledge of industry standards and governmental regulations, you will uphold impeccable product quality and compliance. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the quality department, including the management of raw and auxiliary material suppliers (SQE) and incoming inspection (IQC). Your role extends to establishing and operating quality management systems (QMS), environmental management systems (EMS), and occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS). Additionally, you will lead the formulation and improvement of our company's management systems, procedures, and operational documents. Your duties also encompass process quality control (PQC) to align with customer requirements, with a focus on continuous improvement and enhancing process capability. You will ensure measurement system analysis (MSA), product delivery quality assurance (OQC), and oversee product pre-sale, sale, and after-sales service to maintain high standards throughout. Personnel management within the department falls under your purview, including training, assessment, onboarding safety education, and instilling quality awareness among all employees. Another critical aspect of your role involves overseeing product reliability testing, product qualification certification, and managing laboratory operations. Collaboration with the quality department at our headquarters is essential, as you will work closely with them to fulfill any additional responsibilities or assignments. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience in quality systems or quality management, demonstrating proficiency in QEHS system standards and other related management norms and implementation processes. Proficiency with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS standards, as well as familiarity with lean production, six sigma methodologies, and production quality principles. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential to effectively lead and collaborate within the quality department. Demonstrated capacity for rapid learning and a genuine curiosity about emerging trends and technologies within the industry. A strong sense of ambition, coupled with self-motivation and self-discipline, to drive continuous improvement and meet organizational goals effectively.
