Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Duties & Responsibilities Some of your major responsibilities will include: • Designing the distributed network architecture for the Gateway Modular Spacecraft • Performing Requirements Development and Management • Performing Verification Testing • Perform other duties as required Qualifications Required • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience. • Experience with either Avionic Electrical or Software Systems Design. • Experience with the following major spacecraft systems and disciplines: • Propulsion • Thermal • ECLSS • Power • Electrical Systems • Thorough knowledge of Computer Networking technology, such as: • IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet) standards • ARINC 664 Part 7 Aircraft Data Network -Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet Networks • SAE AS 6802 Time Triggered Standard • Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) • Hardware Cabling Standards • Experience with • Network Design • Network Management Tools • IT Security • Network Troubleshooting Techniques • Familiarity with commercial products available in computer networking technology. • Interpret network data captures, such as pcap files. Preferred • Time Triggered Ethernet (TTE) experience. • Experience with Time Triggered systems such as TDMA. • Fault tolerance/reliability experience. • Experience with spacecraft avionics and circuit design or analysis. • Experience applying computer network technology in space systems. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised. Additional Information This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
